Scene -Gracie and Finley out playing in the garage, Lisa and Ryan doing dishes- Gracie comes running in... Gracie: "dad can I have the keys?" Ryan: "what keys?" Gracie: "the keys to the car" Ryan: "No. Why do you want the keys" Gracie: "Fin and I are going bye bye" Ryan: (now laughing) no, Gracie you can't have the keys?" Grace: "we'll come back" Ryan: (laughing too hard to talk) Gracie: "so Dad where are the keys" Ryan:" Gracie no" Gracie: "Mom we are going bye bye where are the keys" LIsa: "where are you going?" Gracie: "bye bye" Lisa: " I know you want to go bye bye but where to?" Gracie: "Grandmas house" Lisa: "you can't have the keys" Gracie: "but we'll come back" Lisa: "let's go later" then Gracie just took off to tell Fin we wouldn't give her the keys! I thought that theses conversations weren't suposed to happen for 13 more years!!!

Park City

We went to park city with my family we stayed in this huge beautiful home ate great food, played games, watched movies, read, it was amazing but my favorite was the really pretty pond and then a huge football field, volleyball court, basketball court and a family picnic hopefully we can do this again , because it was awesome!!

The perks to only 20 months

My kids are changing, some of the chaos is dying down and they are really started to both play like big kids! They love to play together I guess it's one of the perks to having them less then 2 years apart is they are already interested in the same things.

We had our follow up appointment for Finley's ears yesterday and the tubes are a success!! He passed his hearing screening and we are so excited it's now been close to a year of him not hearing well and having constant infections and fluids. He was such a trooper for the actual surgery, he is so amazing and so tough they let him take Calvin (his puppy) with him which I thought was really sweet.

Tubes

After more then half a dozen ear infections and more then a dozen antibiotics, ear drops, chiropractic appointments, and lavender in the past 15 months we are giving up and my baby is getting tubes in his ears tomorrow!!! We've tried to avoid it but are giving up, even though it's a simple surgery it's still surgery and I am a little nervous but excited that he will finally be feeling better!

another ear infection

I definately love that this kid is kind of a momma's boy but the only time he really lets me cuddle him to sleep is when he is really not feeling well and yep here we are with his first ear infection this fall I feel bad he isn't feeling good but I love these cuddles.I can't believe how big my baby is!

Gracie has been begging to make pumpkin pie I have no idea why i don't think she has ever even had pumpkin pie but she keeps begging so we went to the store but they didn't have the filling yet so instead we got apple filling and made an apple pie I have never made a pie so this was an adventure she had a blast and did it 100% on her own!!!

This was a project weekend for sure we made a table runner for fall decorated our house and finished our curtains we had a blast and the house looks so good and ready for fall I love fall it's my favorite season and i think you can do the best decorations because you can leave them up for a few months instead of christmas where you only get to leave things up for a month!

Preschool

Well hello to the next 14 years, Gracie started preschool and I can't believe that my days of having her home with me all day everday are already over!!!

She has a couple of friends on the street in the same preschool and they all walk together it's really cute and a huge bonus is that she loves i! she loves getting ready and going, she loves her teacher and singing songs she is really excited and begs to go everyday!

GO USU

We went to the USU family day a few weeks ago who knew my kiddos would LOVE it so much we went with the family and it was a blast definately one of the highlights of our summer or end of summer! We got Finley a little uniform that I think he is going to use for Halloween, he loves it he loves the helmet he wore it for 2 days straight. Such a cute boy we love him soooo much!

I am such a slacker!!!

I have been such a slacker this summer we just have been way too busy playing as this crazy summer comes to an end I can honestly say that we did everything we wanted to and more it has been amazing! So rather then try and catch up on a summer of blogging I am just going to put a few updated pictures and try to do better this fall! This is our "puppy" Annie, she is the sweetest dog but she thinks she's another kid which is kind of hard but we love her we adopted her in July and she is a crazy mix of 5 different breeds but she is super playful like a lab but she thinks she is a lap doglike a chihuahua she just follows the kids whereever they go she's very loyal!

Finley loves to hide we play and and go seek at least once a day, he hides behind the couch, under the beds in closets in the pantry in the bathtub you name it he's hidden there but his favorite is the dog kennel! he is so funny love him to death!

Gracie is so much fun I know that 3 years old is harder then 2 but seriously she is amazing she is so happy and busy she loves to take care of Finley and Annie who is definately her puppy she pouts by the door whenever Gracie leaves it's sad!

and almost 400 days later...

We moved in with my parents over a year ago with the goal to save up a down payment for a home almost 400 days later here we are!!!! We broke ground in march and got our keys june 22nd we love our new house!!

mother nature is just being rude!!

Dear Journal,

My kids got up early today I tried giving Finley a sippy cup to help him go back to sleep but instead he somehow got the valve loose and spilled milk all over himself and his crib which then needed to be washed.

We went upstairs for breakfast and they threw their cereal all over the floor. While I was cleaning up their cereal Fin pulled a vase down on top of his head.

Fin went down for a nap and I spent 40 minutes explaining to Gracie that it was time for a 15 minute quiet time in her room which included explaining that she didn't need to watch another movie read 5 more stories, have a chocolate treat and that we didn't have any chocolate milk! finally giving up it took 5 minutes to find a screwdriver and switch her doornob so that I could lock her in her room from the outside, five minutes of crying and she decided to go ahead and take a little nap.

Fin woke up and while I was making him lunch he found that some of the windowsills have mud in them and decided to eat a bug and paint the wall with mud.

Gracie woke up and I fed the kids lunch which again was thrown on the ground (suggestions?) while I was cleaning up the floor the kids tore up one of my mom's fake plants while I was cleaning up the fake plant mess they emptied the paper shredder.

We had another talk with Gracie about if you are going to photo copy your face please close your eyes!

Please Please Please let good weather come soon my kids are ready to play outside!!!

hello cupcake

I finally have a hobby i have discovered that i really like to make cupcakes and birthday cakes who knew!!

a very busy few weeks

Finley's first time playing out in the snow and he loved it he played steady laughing the whole time for 45 minutes then i made him come inside and warm up i've never seen anything like it!

the other day I cought Gracie feeding Fin bouillon cubes telling him they were cany!

this was Fin's first time out he was being so naughty so i put him in time out while I cleaned up it wasn't a very good punishment he just laughed at me

she is playing bell and singing and saying "there's no pictures" a fort and movies make the perfect friday night for our little ones we had a blast

I always laugh to myself when peopel tell me that in a few months my kids will start playing together I have never seen two kids play so well together they are already best friends and I love watching them1

and this is what i've been up to the past few weeks!

Disneyland.....

So we were a little bit spontanious and decided to take our kiddos to disneyland and they were in HEAVEN Gracie loved the princesses and Finley loved being able to explore outside!!! It was amazing!

It poured and poured!!!
