HUSTON COUSIN PICTURES

  Every December we do pictures with all the Huston kids and every year gets easier and easier this year was really funny and wow first Gracie is a total ham and next I think we are in serious trouble in a few years with her she is such a flirt! I wish that I had gotten better picture of Finley but the ones we bought of him are priceless he is awesome!!

 While I am updating I might as well get us current so here I go again.....

                 November = NUTCRACKER
So we decided to let Gracie try out for the Nutcracker with all of her girl cousins that were old enough to try out and never having danced myself I way underestimated the work that goes into this big of a production but wow I know now weekend practices (no absences allowed or you are pulled from the production) costume fittings, and pictures ( twice once in costumes once not).
  Finally the week of we started Friday with an extra practice (also extra long) and a practice on Saturday (once again extra long) then Monday night dress rehersal....from 5-10:45PM in Provo!!
 Finally though it was all worth it watching her first preformance we LOVED IT!! the whole thing she had a preforamce from 4:30 -6:00 and then another from 7:30-9:00 then Wednesday the same thing! the earliest we were home this week was 11:00PM!!
  I cannot believe what a trooper she is and how much she loves it I am amazed by my little star!

This is a long one....

Okay so starting back in September Ryan and I took the kids up butterfield canyon for some pictures in the leaves it was so pretty, the kds had a blast Gracie loves to pose and Fin loves to explore it's a win win!

 Then we had my first preschool party/program for halloween, I love teaching I think the are the best kids in the whole world this has been so much fun!

Finley wanted to be Bob the Builder, and Gracie's "kitty grandma" made her a "Tangled" costume they looked so cute and both loved their costumes it was great!

The program was great they sang a few songs and then we had some yummy treats. I'm excited for our Thanksgiving feast next.

The kids loved carving pumpkins and when we were done we had to carve one more because we didn't make a sad pumpkin so Finley made us do another one, and Gracie loves to cook the seeds and eat them she explained to Ryan several times that he should eat them they taste like pomporn (popcorn)

I'm kind of a lame mom and don't have any pictures of Halloween but here is the aftermath!

Gracies Prayer

Gracie is becoming such a big girl she makes her bed (almost) everyday, brushes her teeth can shower herself, and loves to try and read her own books but one of my favorite things is listening to her prayers we hear everything from asking for help being good to please bless mom while she cleans the kitchen the other day definately caught us off guard when she asked that "when I bite the dogs tails really hard that they won't bite me back!!!" IWe have our work cut out with her.

BOYS, BOYS, BOYS!!!

Our Lawn mower broke seeing as that is was a hand-me down because it wasn't the best I don't think Ryan was exactly devasted at the thought of having to get a new one but I will admit it was pretty cool watching these boys at sears looking at all the lawn mowers and then coming home to try it out I cannot believe how big Fin thinks he is!  I LOVE THESE BOYS!

Another big one

I wanted to keep up with the updates so that i didn't have to do a big one but we had a craxy week so here it comes another big one!!

Finley LOVES his helmet he loves his bike and if he wants to ride it he has to wear his helmet so he has come to love it and wears it all the time the other night in the middle of the night he was talking in his sleep about his helmet and the buzz boots really Finley it's like 90 degrees outside seriously this kid cracks me up!!!

We thought that we would try something different the other day so we went to reading hour at the library for 3-6 year olds and this was the turn out....i love how many kids there are in our area it's crazy but so fun!



I love this picture I don't know what is more fun the fact that Fin made himself dinner of crackers or his goofy smile he does every time i try to take a picture either way thank you for the laugh kiddo

We went on a family bike ride last weekend it was so much fun it was 2 miles and my kids were champs they are amazing we went for snow cones....

This kid went past us on a skate board and Finley started trying to skate board on his bike this kid knows no fear it scares me....

it actually scares me ALOT!!!



after our little bike ride we came back and played in the pool until gracie finally gave in



Then finally Gracie's big day I wish I had more pictures, we had Gracie's dance recital and she is a star she loves being on stage loved everyone watching her loved the whole thing it was so much fun to watch her do something after months of practice she was seriously glowing!!

 Fin loved watching her too it was really sweet he was very excited when she came out to give her flowers and a really big hug!

All in all we are off with a boom this summer everyday just gets better and better life really is good!

the blogging bug

Apparently I have cought some kind of blogging bug or I just really am having a lot of fun now that it is starting to feel like it's summer combined with the fact that everyday lately feels like my kids are just so stinking funny I can't keep up with them and I am ending this week totally exhausted but here is one of just such a funny day...

 Tuesday I woke up to the sound of my kiddos in my closet getting into the band-aides Gracie seriously eats up being the big sister and taking care of Fin she is trying to help him with his knee which he has now cut open about a dozen times and I am convinced is never going to get better but she keeps trying bless her little heart

 can I just say one more time how much she loves being the "big sister" she regularly tries to carry around her "little" brother (who weighs 2lbs less then her)

 I have no idea wht they are doing here but I just wanted to remember the moment, I know she is explaining something to him but I'm not sure what

 Then we finally started our day I told the kids that if they would hurry and get dressed we could go to the libraryand Fin jumped right on the idea of dressing himself I wish I had waited to get the picture to show off the awesome sandles he wore too..

Gracie also dressed herself in her verson of "play" clothes I love how girly she is

After the library we came home and finley decided to first flood and then dig up and tear apart all of my peas which of course were the only things that i can actually get to grow in my garden!

 Gracie just wanted to play in the mud (I'm so glad we spent 30 minutes on her hair this morning for her mud bath)

 Sadly this is the best we could do for a kiddie pool the kids came up eith it and they actually had a blast but after a whole day (and several more in the past)

 We finally splurged!!

Totally worth it we have played every day this week and plan on playing in it almost every dayt hat we are home I'm convinced my kids are part fish it is the first thing they say to me in the morning "mom can we put on our swim suits and get in the pool"
