the blogging bug

Apparently I have cought some kind of blogging bug or I just really am having a lot of fun now that it is starting to feel like it's summer combined with the fact that everyday lately feels like my kids are just so stinking funny I can't keep up with them and I am ending this week totally exhausted but here is one of just such a funny day...

 Tuesday I woke up to the sound of my kiddos in my closet getting into the band-aides Gracie seriously eats up being the big sister and taking care of Fin she is trying to help him with his knee which he has now cut open about a dozen times and I am convinced is never going to get better but she keeps trying bless her little heart

 can I just say one more time how much she loves being the "big sister" she regularly tries to carry around her "little" brother (who weighs 2lbs less then her)

 I have no idea wht they are doing here but I just wanted to remember the moment, I know she is explaining something to him but I'm not sure what

 Then we finally started our day I told the kids that if they would hurry and get dressed we could go to the libraryand Fin jumped right on the idea of dressing himself I wish I had waited to get the picture to show off the awesome sandles he wore too..

Gracie also dressed herself in her verson of "play" clothes I love how girly she is

After the library we came home and finley decided to first flood and then dig up and tear apart all of my peas which of course were the only things that i can actually get to grow in my garden!

 Gracie just wanted to play in the mud (I'm so glad we spent 30 minutes on her hair this morning for her mud bath)

 Sadly this is the best we could do for a kiddie pool the kids came up eith it and they actually had a blast but after a whole day (and several more in the past)

 We finally splurged!!

Totally worth it we have played every day this week and plan on playing in it almost every dayt hat we are home I'm convinced my kids are part fish it is the first thing they say to me in the morning "mom can we put on our swim suits and get in the pool"

I want you

Lately Finley has been coming up to me all the time and wrapping his arms around me and saying "I want you" it always makes me just smile and i tell him "good I want you too" and we have some time just cuddling or hanging out I love it except in the middle of the night EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and to make it even more crowded he always brings his 4 buddies his 2 stuffed dogs and both of the real ones.....which is definately 2 dogs too many especially since he pulls annie under the covers with him!

Finley I love you and I want you too, but seriously NO DOGS in mommy's bed please!!!

Jessica's wedding

Here are just a few pictures of my little sisters wedding of course i didn't get a single one at the reception but here are the temple ones...

  I was so excited to see my kids when we got out of the temple I was a little emotional watching my baby sister get married it just made me realize how fast time goes and the best part about when I did get my kiddos is that they were pretty darn excited to see me too! 

  I am so lucky that my kids have cousins that are their same ages and that they are such good friends

  Jessica and Parker looked so excited and so happy they have waited a really long time for this day and every minute was amazing!

When we were done with pictures my kids were so ready to get out of there, especially Fin he is such a boy!! he really don't love getting pictures taken it did make the reception photos tricky too...

 I love these photos of Ryan helping Fin get ready I love knowing that there are many more of these moments in the future...plus I love the way Gracie's hair turned out I wish I had a picture of her from the front oops

There is no way I will ever get caught up on this blog after our crazy past few months so to sum it up: we got our yard put in, Ryan started a new job, I am going to be starting a preschool this fall, we added another dog to our family and she is huge,  Gracie turned 4!!! and my baby sister got married, yes we have been crazy busy.

Here are just a few pictures of my favorite moments in the middle of the chaos....

 Gracie I love you so much you are the best girl in the world I love the pictures you draw for me and the way you tell me to close my eyes so they are a surprise

 Finally all the Beckstead girls are married congrats jess and parker you guys are perfect for each other and we love you

  There is just something awesome about finding your 2 year old has ditched his spoon to eat with a shovel instead

 helping Jess and Parker move into their new apartment was so fun, enjoy this phase it doesn't last forever

 I love dogs and I am so lucky that Ryan is so patient with me and even helps clean up after them

 happy birthday Gracie we have had so much fun the past 4 years! when did you get so big

 I love when you come climb in bed with us and we need to find somewhere else to sleep

 our first big friend party I love that we live in an area that our kids get to have so many friends

My very favorite is that Ryan has taught the kids to put their hands on their heads when the disposal is on...safety first!

what more can I say we tried!!

I was going through the computer looking at pictures to put in some frames Ry just hung up for me and I remembered we had some from October when we did family picture I'll be honest I had pretty much forgotten about them mostly because it was a really crappy day I was sick in the ER all morning and was really too warn out to do pictures and the kids were just way to hyper but looking at them now they are not so bad and really pretty much describe my family perfect Ryan is always happy, Gracie loves being the center of attention and Finley is bored to death anytime we try to make him hold still!
